Soo Sunny Park (b. Seoul, Korea) - Unwoven Light at Rice University’s Rice Gallery in Houston, Texas. Composed of 37 individual sculptural units, the installation uses iridescent plexi-glass embedded in pieces of a chain link fence to cast shimmering, colorful reflections across the spacious gallery.

BEHIND THE SLAP: The theory I had was that violence minus aggression is intimacy. It’s the idea of trusting someone to hit you and it being a social interaction. If you take the destructive component out of violence, it becomes kind of cute and intimate. It’s essentially that a slap mitigated by permission is a hug. There’s an extremely private thing that starts to happen between people who slap each other, like you see it happen a bunch of times in the video. It’s like, “don’t slap me hard” and “oh you can slap me harder than that,” and “okay let’s slap the sh*t out of each other,” because they build a relationship right in that moment. [x]

this is so so wonderful.

from Take Off Your Clothesagain by Adara Sánchez

If you are an old follower you know I love Adara’s work for quite some while now, the thing is I finally had the guts 2 days ago to ask her to make AFA a header, and she said:

“I’ll be glad to make a cover for Afa, sure, what’s the exact size to work on? Oh! hehe well, it’s the least I can do to thank you for your support :)”

You guys cant imagine how happy I am, imagine AFA with an exclusive artwork made by adara? best present ever!
